Kaelin comes to us with six years of classroom experience having taught Kindergarten, First and Second Grade in Hanover County where she grew up and attended school. Her love for education has been recognized by her elementary school with the New Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year awards. Kaelin graduated from James Madison University where she received her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education degree. Kaelin is certified to teach PreK through sixth grade.
She believes that all students are capable of growth and progress when given the right tools and strategies needed to succeed. She is excited to interact with students, meeting them at their current level and working with them to achieve future goals.
When Kaelin is not teaching, you can most often find her at the pool coaching swimming, spending time with her family and friends, or playing with her dog – Jaxson! She enjoys spending her free time by the water and reading a good book.
